Rome 2009

October saw us returning from our first of two tours of Rome this year where, once again, we
performed to huge audiences in the ancient and fantastic Pantheon with its huge dome and 7m wide hole or ‘oculus’ in the ceiling. 6 Recreatios in two days were followed by a further three Recreatios in the amazing Basilica of Santa Maria Sopra Minerva complete with its Michelangelo statue of Christ the Redeemer. Our tour finished with another visit as private guests of HM Ambassador to the Holy See (Vatican) with his prestigious guests. That we have been hailed by him as excellent cultural ambassadors for Great Britain is a great accolade. It was this concert last year that led directly to our second visit to Rome, later in October. Tour no 2 sees a smaller group returning.
